Meléndrez’s urban design team and Los Angeles Metro recently hosted a Countywide Forum to unveil the beta draft of the interactive Metro Green Places Website.

Meléndrez has led the process this year to design and develop the Metro Green Places website, rather than a standard static Plan as originally directed. The website focuses on clearly presenting strategies to green and placemake at and around Metro station areas, for example through solar capture, water reuse, social events, installations, etc., specifically relevant to the Los Angeles region.  The website presents a step-by-step guide to getting these things done and offers helpful tools like sample agreements, links to potential partners and funding opportunities, and case studies.

The Countywide Forum invited regional stakeholders to get a sneak peek of the website and give feedback and ideas prior to finalization.  The website will be completed by the end of the year and will be available to the public at that time. Keep your eyes peeled!

Thanks to those who attended the Forum and a hearty thanks also to the technical advisory committee who helped make a more robust website!
