On Tuesday morning, Mayor Eric Garcetti unveiled the first 15 streets that would be transformed under his “Great Streets” Program. Rather than having the usual press conference, the Mayor and Councilmember Mitchell Englander’s office hosted a Pop-Up street event on Reseda Boulevard in front of a collection of small businesses that would benefit from an improved Reseda Boulevard. Many community partners came out to help celebrate the event and to support the new “Great Streets” initiative. Our team at Melendrez helped build the Pop-Up, using plants provided by Monrovia Nursery and decorating the extensions with painted stencils to create a temporary bulb-out. It was quite a festive morning! Thanks to Monrovia Nursery for providing the beautiful plants www.monrovia.com
